Head Coach
Samantha King is originally from Chapel Hill, Tennessee. She began her academic and athletic career at Motlow State Community College, where she played softball for two years, before transferring to the University of Tennessee Southern, where she competed for three years. During her collegiate career, she earned recognition as an NAIA All-American athlete in 2022.
Sam earned her Associate of Science in General Studies from Motlow State and her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee Southern. She then continued her education at the University of the Cumberlands, where she completed her Master of Science in Human Performance and Fitness Leadership in June 2023.
Sam has been a part of the Columbia State Community College softball program for four years. She began as an assistant coach before being named head coach, a role she has held for the past three years.
